At Exotic Animal Veterinary Center, our team works with patients that make every day different. We care exclusively for rabbits, birds, reptiles, and small mammals, giving veterinary professionals the opportunity to build hands-on experience in a focused exotic animal hospital. If you’re looking for a veterinary job in Pasadena, CA that offers meaningful work, a collaborative team, and the chance to support unique pets and the people who love them, we invite you to explore career opportunities with us.

Build Your Career in Exotic Animal Medicine

Working in exotic veterinary medicine calls for curiosity, patience, and close attention to detail. Our patients often show illness in subtle ways, which makes skilled observation, careful handling, and confident clinical decision-making an important part of every role.

At Exotic Animal Veterinary Center, you’ll be part of a team that works with exotic species every day. That means you’re not learning around the edges of general practice. You’re building experience in a hospital where exotic animal care is the full focus.

Our team members have the opportunity to:

  • Work with a wide range of exotic species

  • Learn from experienced exotic veterinarians, including board-certified specialists

  • Support advanced medical, dental, diagnostic, and surgical cases

  • Develop stronger handling and patient care skills across many species

  • Be part of a team that values collaboration, learning, and steady communication

  • Help clients better understand their pet’s health, behavior, and long-term needs

For the right person, this is a place to grow your skills, deepen your confidence, and do work that makes a real difference for animals that often need highly specific care.

Working Closely with Rescue Groups and Community Partners

Our work extends beyond the exam room. Exotic Animal Veterinary Center has worked closely with rescue groups for many years, providing veterinary care, guidance, and support for animals in need.

Through these relationships, our team helps care for rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, birds, reptiles, potbellied pigs, hedgehogs, and other exotic pets connected with rescue organizations throughout Southern California.

EAVC is also a preceptor site for students from Western University College of Veterinary Medicine. Students spend time in our hospital gaining exposure to exotic medicine in a clinical setting while contributing to patient case management as part of the learning process.

For team members, this creates a career environment with purpose. You’ll have opportunities to support individual patients, help rescue animals receive the care they need, and contribute to education within the veterinary community.
