Exotic Animal Veterinary Center also works in conjunction with Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA to stabilize wildlife and send animals to licensed rehabilitators. Wildlife medicine often requires species-specific knowledge, careful handling, and close attention to subtle signs of illness or injury. Our team is honored to play a role in helping these animals receive the care they need.

Partnering with Western University College of Veterinary Medicine

Since 2015, Exotic Animal Veterinary Center has served as a preceptor site for students from Western University College of Veterinary Medicine. During their time at EAVC, veterinary students gain exposure to exotic animal medicine in a clinical setting.

These students spend a block of time with our team, where they are expected to contribute to patient case management as part of the learning process. Our veterinarians and technicians provide mentorship throughout the experience, helping the next generation of veterinarians build knowledge, confidence, and clinical experience with exotic species.
